Senior OpenStack Engineer :

Location: Zurich, Switzerland

Our client, a leading Swiss technology company, is looking for an experienced Senior OpenStack Engineer to join its cloud infrastructure team. This is an opportunity to play a key role in designing, operating, and evolving a large-scale OpenStack platform that supports critical enterprise services.

Your Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and operate the company's OpenStack platform.
• Architect and optimize OpenStack Compute, Storage, and Networking services.
• Automate deployments and operational processes using Ansible, OpenTofu, and related tools.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure issues at 2nd and 3rd level.
• Collaborate closely with infrastructure and engineering teams.
• Provide technical leadership on architecture and technology decisions.
• Drive continuous improvements in cloud infrastructure, automation, and platform reliability.

Your Profile:

• Degree in Computer Science or an equivalent technical qualification.
• Several years of experience designing and operating OpenStack environments.
• Strong expertise in Linux administration and container technologies.
• Hands-on experience with automation and configuration management tools such as Ansible and Infrastructure as Code.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems, networking, and storage technologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Fluent German (C1 level) and good English.
• Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation.
