COMPANY OVERVIEW

Prime Communications, L.P. is one of the largest AT&T authorized retailers in the United States, operating approximately 2,000 retail locations across 48 states. The company partners closely with AT&T on sales performance, compliance, and customer experience and relies on secure, scalable systems and technology capabilities to support more than 8,000 users across its corporate and field operations.

ROLE SUMMARY

The Director of Business Systems & Technology will be a key member of the Business Systems team, reporting directly to the Vice President of Business Systems. This individual will serve as a business-first technology leader responsible for ensuring the company’s systems, data, applications, and technology capabilities support employees, field operations, and enterprise growth.

The Director will partner closely with Sales, Human Resources, Real Estate, Finance, Operations, and IT to translate business needs into practical, secure, and scalable solutions. The successful candidate will combine strong technical judgment, multi-unit operating experience, people leadership, and clear executive communication.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

· Build trusted relationships with leaders across Sales, Human Resources, Operations, Real Estate, Finance, and other business functions.

· Translate business priorities into clear systems, data, and technology plans.

· Oversee enterprise applications, integrations, cloud platforms, databases, reporting, cybersecurity, identity, and Microsoft 365.

· Evaluate architecture, security, scalability, vendor recommendations, and build-versus-buy decisions.

· Support systems related to sales, commissions, employee scheduling, hiring, training, and multi-unit operations.

· Ensure technology investments improve business performance, employee productivity, and field execution.

· Lead incident response for outages, security events, and other high-impact issues with calm, clear communication.

· Convert complex technical matters into concise business explanations and recommendations.

· Lead and develop managers and teams, establish accountability, and strengthen organizational capability.

· Partner with senior leadership on technology priorities, risks, and major initiatives.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Must be eligible to work in the United States

· 5+ years of progressive experience in business systems, enterprise applications, information technology, digital platforms, or a related function.

· 5+ years of people-leadership experience.

· Experience operating at the director, senior manager, or comparable level.

· Experience leading managers, multiple teams, or complex cross-functional initiatives.

· Experience supporting a multi-unit, distributed, field-based, or similarly complex organization.

· Strong business and technical judgment across several of the following areas:

o Cloud—AWS/Azure: Able to direct architecture, security, scalability, and risk decisions.

o Databases—MySQL/SQL: Able to review database schemas, performance, data quality, and reporting requirements.

Application Development Oversight: Able to evaluate architecture and make sound build-versus-buy decisions; hands-on coding is not required.

o Cybersecurity: Experience overseeing access controls, incident response, vendor security reviews, and third-party audits.

o Microsoft 365 and Enterprise IT: Able to oversee licensing, identity, access, and enterprise services in an environment supporting more than 8,000 users.

o Data and Reporting: Able to translate raw data and technical findings into clear executive narratives and actionable recommendations.

· Understanding of sales processes, commission structures, workforce scheduling, hiring, training, store operations, or store-level P&L considerations.

· Ability to translate technical issues into clear business impact, options, and recommendations.

· Demonstrated composure and sound judgment during outages, security incidents, or other high-pressure situations.
