Principal Site Reliability Engineer

Designs and architects infrastructure and services that ensure the reliability, scalability, and operational excellence of Oracle Fleet Patching & Provisioning (FPP), Oracle's recommended solution for lifecycle management of Oracle Grid Infrastructure, Oracle RAC, and Oracle Database fleets. Collaborates closely with software development teams to build highly available cloud services, automate provisioning and lifecycle operations, and improve service reliability through Python development, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and cloud technologies. Exercises judgment while optimizing infrastructure performance, incident response, automation, monitoring, and operational health. Develops innovative solutions that reduce operational complexity, improve predictability, and support large-scale cloud deployments through modern DevOps practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Capacity Ingestion and Management
• Design scalable cloud infrastructure supporting Oracle Fleet Patching & Provisioning lifecycle services.
• Collaborate with development teams to deliver reliable cloud-native services using Infrastructure as Code and automation frameworks.
• Architect infrastructure capable of supporting large-scale Oracle Database and Grid Infrastructure deployments.

• Design and develop automation using Python to streamline provisioning, lifecycle management, operational monitoring, and remediation.
• Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using modern infrastructure automation practices.
• Improve deployment consistency through automated CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure provisioning.

• Evaluate and adopt modern cloud technologies that improve scalability, resiliency, observability, and operational efficiency.
• Continuously improve Fleet Patching & Provisioning automation capabilities for provisioning, patching, upgrades, and cloud lifecycle management.

• Experience developing production-quality software using Python.
• Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions.

• Experience building automation for provisioning, deployment, patching, or lifecycle management.
• Experience with DevOps tooling, CI/CD pipelines, and large-scale distributed systems.
• Experience supporting Oracle Database, Grid Infrastructure, RAC, or similar enterprise infrastructure environments.
