About The Role
In this role, you will build and evolve secure, scalable Azure Cloud platform capabilities that enable engineering teams to deliver reliable, high-quality solutions faster. You will work with modern cloud technologies, Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code, and automation to create resilient, secure, and highly available platform services. You will collaborate with engineering, architecture, security, and product teams to drive cloud innovation and support the delivery of business-critical applications.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, implementation, and evolution of Azure-based cloud platforms and infrastructure
- Define and promote engineering standards, DevOps best practices, and platform architecture principles
- Drive the adoption of Infrastructure as Code, automation, and modern CI/CD practices across engineering teams
- Lead the architecture and operation of Kubernetes (AKS) platforms and containerized workloads
- Collaborate with engineering, architecture, security, and product teams to deliver reliable and scalable platform solutions
- Review infrastructure designs, deployment strategies, and implementation approaches to ensure quality and consistency
- Drive improvements in platform reliability, observability, performance, resilience, and operational excellence
- Establish and promote cloud governance, security, compliance, and cost optimization best practices
- Evaluate and introduce emerging technologies, including AI-powered engineering tools and platform capabilities
- Contribute to technical roadmaps, platform modernization initiatives, and long-term engineering strategy
- Remain actively involved in hands-on engineering while providing technical leadership
- Extensive hands-on experience designing, implementing, and operating enterprise-scale cloud platforms on Microsoft Azure
- Proven ability to lead technical design, architecture discussions, and platform engineering initiatives while remaining actively involved in implementation
- Strong expertise in Infrastructure as Code, cloud automation, and CI/CD best practices
- Deep experience designing and operating Kubernetes platforms and cloud-native applications
- Strong understanding of cloud architecture, networking, security, governance, resilience, and disaster recovery
- Ability to mentor engineers, perform technical reviews, and guide teams through complex technical challenges
- Experience driving platform modernization, automation, and operational excellence initiatives
- Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering, architecture, security, and product stakeholders while influencing technical direction
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Strong ownership mindset with the ability to balance short-term delivery and long-term platform strategy
- Hands-on experience with AWS or multi-cloud is considered a strong advantage
