Job Description:

We're looking for an Azure Cloud Infrastructure Operations Engineer to help automate, build, and operate business-critical Azure workloads — reducing reliance on individual SMEs through standardization, automation, and strong documentation.

Responsibilities:

Automate

• Design and implement Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform and/or Bicep)
• Build CI/CD pipelines for provisioning and configuration management
• Automate subscription/resource group setup, networking (VNets, subnets, NSGs), RBAC and managed identities
• Implement Policy-as-Code using Azure Policy
• Automate logging, monitoring, diagnostics, backup, and recovery

Build

• Configure Azure subscriptions aligned to enterprise standards
• Implement hub-and-spoke network topologies
• Deploy core Azure services: compute (VMs, scale sets), PaaS (App Services, Azure SQL, Storage), and AKS where applicable
• Implement high availability, resiliency, and Dev/Test/Prod environment separation
• Deliver architecture diagrams and build documentation

Operate

• Manage incidents, problems, and changes under defined SLAs
• Provide operational support for compute, networking, storage, and PaaS
• Handle patch and vulnerability management
• Run backup and disaster recovery operations
• Perform performance tuning and capacity planning

Required Qualifications:

• Strong experience with Azure IaaS and PaaS services
• Azure networking and security expertise
• Hands-on Terraform experience
• Azure DevOps and/or GitHub Actions
• PowerShell and Python scripting
• ITIL-aligned cloud operations background
• Experience with monitoring and observability tooling
• Strong documentation practices
• Track record collaborating with enterprise security and network teams

Preferred:

• AKS (Azure Kubernetes Service) experience
