AI Engineer

We are seeking an AI Engineer to join our team on a contingent basis for a specific project. This role involves technical leadership and hands-on AI engineering, embedded directly with audit business domain experts to deliver innovative audit solutions. The AI Engineer will develop, configure, and operate certified AI platform building blocks within live engagement environments, applying software engineering best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong software engineering background with experience in SDLC, including Git, testing, CI/CD, and configuration-as-code.
• Proficiency in SQL, PostgreSQL, JSON/YAML, and Python.
• Experience in developing AI/ML solutions using third-party platforms and APIs.
• Systems thinking with experience in running production data or AI systems.
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs, cloud services, and architecture patterns.
• Ability to work from architectural documentation and manage incidents with strong documentation practices.
• Proven ability to work closely with business domain experts and translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of coaching non-technical users and collaborating with diverse stakeholders.
  

  Day-to-day of the role:

• Manage and deploy certified platform building blocks, handling their lifecycle from promotion to deprecation.
• Execute engagement deployment runbooks, including database provisioning and workflow configuration.
• Configure workspaces, access control, roles, and manage per-engagement data-layer administration.
• Maintain documentation and validate deployments using verification checklists.
• Translate business and audit requirements into configured agent workflows and platform capabilities.
• Prototype, test, and refine solutions through collaboration with end users and rapid feedback cycles.
• Drive platform adoption by coaching users and communicating technical concepts effectively across various stakeholder levels.
• Capture insights from engagements to feed into platform architecture and product evolution.
• Provide first-line support and incident management, maintaining platform observability and integrity.
