Principal DevOps Engineer - Platform Strategy & Data Operations

An exciting opportunity has opened for a Principal DevOps Engineer - Platform Strategy & Data Operations to join a leading global reinsurance organisation undergoing significant technology transformation. Reporting to the Head of Platform Enablement, you'll play a strategic technical leadership role, owning the Platform Engineering roadmap while defining the future of developer platforms, cloud infrastructure, and data operations across the enterprise.


You'll lead the evolution of modern platform capabilities, driving automation, self-service, DevSecOps practices, and cloud-native engineering while working closely with Engineering, Security, Architecture, Infrastructure, and Data teams. This role combines strategic technical ownership with hands-on leadership, enabling engineering teams to deliver secure, scalable, and resilient software faster.

What You Bring

• 10+ years' experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Cloud Engineering

• Knowledge of IaC, CI/CD, observability, and cloud platforms
