Indexed description

We're hiring a Senior Azure Cloud Engineer to own and mature the Azure platform at a high-growth specialty pharmacy in the Dallas area. You will join as a full-time W2 ETG employee, embedded with the client's IT team and reporting into their VP of IT.

This is a net-new role with no incumbent and no managed service provider in place. The Azure estate has grown organically, without a formal landing zone, consistent governance, or infrastructure-as-code. You will be the person who brings order to it: designing the landing zone, setting governance and security standards, and putting repeatable, version-controlled provisioning in place.

The environment supports a business operating across six sites and roughly 1,000 users, and it needs to scale cleanly as the company grows.

Position Details

  • Hybrid: 3-days onsite in Dallas, TX, 2-days remote
  • Salary range: $155,000 to $175,000, depending on experience
  • Full-time W2 with full benefits
  • On-call required
  • Minimal travel, under two weeks per year
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
  • W2 only, no corp-to-corp

What You'll Do

  • Own end-to-end Azure architecture, including landing zone design, management group and subscription structure, and platform standards
  • Design scalable, secure, and resilient cloud solutions for a multi-site organization
  • Build cloud reference architectures, standards, diagrams, and documentation from the ground up
  • Own the health, reliability, and performance of the platform across compute, storage, and Azure PaaS
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for cloud incidents and issues
  • Build and maintain infrastructure as code with Terraform or Bicep, and establish CI/CD pipelines
  • Design and manage identity and access through Entra ID, including RBAC, conditional access, and privileged access
  • Implement security controls and guardrails, including Azure Policy and baseline configurations
  • Establish cost visibility and governance, and right-size spend across the estate
  • Partner with the network and infrastructure teams on hybrid connectivity, and advise IT leadership on cloud decisions and tradeoffs

What You'll Bring

  • 7+ years in cloud engineering and network architecture roles, with deep, recent Azure focus
  • Azure architecture and landing zone design, including management groups, subscriptions, and governance
  • Production infrastructure as code with Terraform or Bicep
  • Azure security and identity with Entra ID, including RBAC, conditional access, and Azure Policy
  • A track record of designing, building, and operating cloud environments end-to-end
  • Ownership of both strategy and execution
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in complex cloud and hybrid environments

Nice To Have

  • Experience in HIPAA, HITRUST, or comparable regulated, compliance-driven environments
  • Container platforms and orchestration, including AKS and Kubernetes
  • CI/CD tooling such as Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions
  • Cloud cost management and FinOps practices
  • Depth in Azure data and PaaS services
  • Azure certifications such as Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305), Administrator, or DevOps Engineer Expert
