Azure Cloud Architect

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Azure Architect to design, implement, and govern secure, scalable, and highly available Microsoft Azure cloud solutions. The ideal candidate will lead cloud architecture initiatives, drive cloud migration strategies, establish governance, and provide technical leadership across infrastructure, security, networking, DevOps, and application modernization.

Key Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end Azure cloud architectures for enterprise applications.
• Lead cloud migration and modernization initiatives from on-premises to Azure.
• Design secure, scalable, resilient, and cost-optimized Azure environments.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates).
• Architect Azure networking solutions including VNets, ExpressRoute, VPN Gateway, NSGs, Azure Firewall, Load Balancer, and Application Gateway.
• Define Azure governance using Management Groups, Policies, Blueprints, and RBAC.
• Design high availability, disaster recovery, and backup strategies.
• Implement identity and security using Microsoft Entra ID, Conditional Access, MFA, and Key Vault.
• Build CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
• Architect container and serverless solutions using AKS, Azure Functions, and Azure Container Apps.
• Optimize Azure environments for performance, security, and cost (FinOps).
• Conduct architecture reviews and provide technical leadership to engineering teams.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate business requirements into cloud solutions.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of IT experience with 5+ years in Microsoft Azure.
• Strong expertise in Azure IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS services.
• Hands-on experience with:
• Azure Virtual Machines
• Azure Storage
• Azure Virtual Network
• Azure Load Balancer
• Azure Application Gateway
• Azure Firewall
• Azure Monitor
• Azure Backup
• Azure Site Recovery
• Azure Key Vault
• Experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), RBAC, IAM, and security best practices.
• Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong scripting skills in PowerShell, Azure CLI, or Python.
• Experience with hybrid cloud and multi-region deployments.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
