Role Description The AWS Cloud Architect will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure, scalable, and high-performing cloud architectures on Amazon Web Services (AWS) for client projects. This full-time, on-site role in Melbourne, FL involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to analyze requirements, create architecture diagrams, and define best practices for cloud infrastructure, networking, security, and cost optimization. Day-to-day tasks include provisioning and configuring cloud services, guiding application migrations to AWS, performing performance tuning, and monitoring cloud environments to ensure reliability and compliance. The role also requires documenting technical solutions, mentoring team members, and providing technical leadership during project planning, implementation, and troubleshooting.
Qualifications
  • Strong expertise in AWS cloud architecture, including core services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, and related security and networking components.
  • Experience designing and implementing scalable, resilient, and cost-optimized cloud solutions, including high availability, disaster recovery, and performance tuning.
  • Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, AWS CloudFormation) and automation using scripting or programming languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes/EKS), and modern DevOps practices to support cloud-native application delivery.
  • Knowledge of cloud security best practices, compliance frameworks, identity and access management, and monitoring/logging tools (e.g., CloudWatch, CloudTrail).
  • Ability to gather requirements, produce architecture and design documentation, and communicate complex technical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience working in enterprise environments or consulting settings, partnering with cross-functional teams such as developers, operations, and business stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience; AWS Architect certification (Associate or Professional) is highly beneficial.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work on-site in Melbourne, FL in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
