This is a senior individual contributor role. The Senior Cloud Architect provides leadership through technical authority, architecture reviews, standards definition, and operational transition ownership rather than direct people management.
Key Responsibilities Will Include
- Engage with internal stakeholders to capture business requirements and translate them into secure, scalable, and cost‑efficient cloud solutions
- Contribute to defining and maintaining cloud architecture standards and design strategies
- Assess current cloud technologies and ensure alignment with business goals and efficiency targets
- Facilitate the transition of Digital and GTM solutions from sandbox or development environments into production by defining architectural requirements, governance controls, and operational readiness criteria, ensuring clear handoff to operations
- Provide architectural leadership and guidance for deployment of complex cloud solutions, with hands‑on technical involvement where required to ensure alignment with platform standards and operational readiness
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and managed partners to deliver standardized cloud services
- Provide architectural oversight for cloud migration initiatives, including standards definition, design review, and optimization guidance in partnership with delivery teams
- Participate in architecture and change governance forums
- Application, Platform, and Digital/GTM Teams – Requirements capture and solution delivery support
- Security Teams – Identity, access management, and compliance alignment
- Infrastructure and Network Teams – Platform integration and dependencies
- Operations Teams – Service readiness, support models, and operational transition
- Vendors and Managed Service Partners – Architecture support and delivery enablement
- Extensive experience across Azure, AWS, and GCP services including compute, storage, networking, and platform services
- Strong background in cloud architecture best practices including high availability, scalability, and disaster recovery
- Experience with cloud migration strategies and tools
- Expertise in Azure architecture, automation (IaC/CI‑CD), identity, networking, and security best practices
- Extensive experience with Terraform (primary), Bicep/ARM, AWS CloudFormation, Ansible, Cloud-Init, Azure CLI, AWS CLI, gcloud CLI, Python, PowerShell, Git, GitHub Actions, and Docker; Kubernetes (AKS, EKS, GKE)
- Deep understanding of multi-cloud networking (VNet/VPC design, peering, private endpoints, segmentation, hybrid connectivity, and firewalling)
- Experience implementing policy frameworks including Azure Policy, AWS SCPs, and GCP Organization Policies
- Experience integrating FinOps considerations into architecture decisions
- Strong experience producing high- and low-level architectural designs across multi-cloud ecosystems (Azure, AWS, GCP)
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Telecommunications industry experience (nice to have but not required)
- 8–10 years of experience in a Cloud Architect or similar role
- Experience architecting cloud infrastructure with multi‑cloud exposure
- Experience providing technical leadership or leading teams in a matrixed or advisory capacity
- Experience building cloud governance models, standards, and architectural frameworks
- 5–7+ years of hands‑on cloud architecture and design experience in large, distributed enterprise environments.
- Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert are strongly preferred.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent professional experience.
