Cloud Architect (with FinOps Expertise) | Hungary

Who we are looking for

We're building out a cloud architecture practice in Hungary, focused on clients who are moving core infrastructure to the cloud — for real, not on a roadmap slide.

As cloud adoption grows, so does the need to understand how technology decisions affect cost, scalability and operational efficiency. We're looking for architects and engineers who enjoy understanding how cloud platforms are designed and operated, while also helping clients gain greater visibility and control over their cloud spend.

This role combines cloud architecture, engineering and cloud economics. You don't need to be a dedicated FinOps specialist — we're looking for someone who understands cloud technology and is interested in helping clients make better, more cost-effective cloud decisions.

What we're looking for:

• 3-5+ years of experience in cloud engineering, cloud architecture or technology consulting.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure or GCP, ideally in multicloud setup.
• Understanding of cloud infrastructure, platform services and modern architecture patterns.
• Interest in cloud cost optimization, cloud economics and FinOps practices.
• Ability to balance architecture, operational and cost considerations when designing cloud solutions.
• Comfortable working directly with client stakeholders and understanding business requirements.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience preparing management reporting related to cloud costs, consumption and optimization opportunities.
• Ability to translate technical and financial data into actionable insights for management stakeholders.
• Pragmatic mindset focused on solving real client problems.
• Strong process automation mindset with a focus on simplifying reporting, monitoring and optimization activities.
• Interest in building scalable and automated approaches to cloud cost management and governance.
• Fluent in English and Hungarian
• EU citizenship or a valid work permit to work in Hungary is required.

• Experience with banking, financial services or other regulated industries.
• Exposure to cloud migration, cloud operating models or platform governance.
• Familiarity with cloud cost management tooling or FinOps practices.
• FinOps Certified Practitioner or related cloud certification.
• Broader architecture exposure across data, integration, security or enterprise applications.
• German - Upper-Intermediate or higher

• Help clients design and evolve cloud environments across AWS, Azure and GCP.
• Work on cloud migration, modernization and platform improvement initiatives.
• Support cloud cost visibility, transparency and governance activities.
• Identify opportunities to improve cloud efficiency, utilization and spending.
• Help clients understand how architectural and engineering decisions impact cloud cost.
• Work with business, engineering and architecture teams to solve practical cloud challenges.
• Support forecasting, budgeting and cloud optimization initiatives.
• Contribute to cloud transformation programmes within large and complex organizations.
