- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 10 years of experience with cloud native architecture in a customer-facing or support role.
- Experience in designing, developing, and deploying solutions that leverage or integrate generative AI.
- Experience in programming languages, debugging, systems design, prototyping, demos, or customer workshops.
- Experience with cloud engineering, on-premise engineering, virtualization, or containerization platforms.
- Must possess an active Top Secret/SCI security clearance.
- Experience selling technical solutions in one or more of the following: Infrastructure Modernization, Application Modernization, Data Management, Data Analytics, Cloud AI, Networking, Migrations, Security.
- Experience managing the entire sales cycle (e.g., defining the delivery and consumption plan and transitioning it for execution).
- Experience building long-term technical strategies to uncover new workloads with customers.
- Experience with security concepts (e.g., encryption, identity management, access control, attack vectors, pen testing).
- Experience prospecting, building and maintaining customer relationships from scratch, with excitement for building out Greenfield territories.
As a Customer Engineer in the federal public sector space, you will partner with technical Sales teams to differentiate Google Cloud to our customers. You will help prospective and existing customers and partners understand the power of Google Cloud, develop creative cloud solutions and architectures to solve their business issues, engage in proofs of concepts, and troubleshoot any technical questions and roadblocks. You will engage with customers to understand their business and technical requirements, and present practical and useful solutions on Google Cloud.
In this role, you will help us organize America's National Security information and make it privately accessible and useful. The main customer you'll be working with is U.S. Special Operations Command (SOCOM). We focus on helping United States public sector institutions accelerate their digital transformations, and we continue to make significant investments and grow our team to meet the complex needs of local, state and federal government and educational institutions.Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
US: $152000 - $221000 (USD) + 42.86% bonus target + equity + benefits

- Work with the team to identify and qualify business opportunities, understand key customer technical objections, and develop the strategy to resolve technical blockers. Work directly with Google Cloud products to demonstrate and prototype integrations in customer and partner environments.
- Share in-depth enterprise infrastructure modernization expertise to support the technical relationship with customers, including technology advocacy, supporting bid responses, product and solution briefings, proof-of-concept work, and partnering directly with product management to prioritize solutions impacting customer adoption to Google Cloud.
- Guide customers through assessments of existing legacy application environment(s) and provide recommendations on a prioritization roadmap for infrastructure and application modernization.
- Recommend integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms, and application infrastructure required to successfully implement a complete solution on Google Cloud.
- Be able to travel to Tampa for on-site client work, if located in Florida.
