Senior AWS Architect

Aubay is looking for a Senior Architect (AWS) for a financial institution located in Brussels.

The Architect with the IT team, designs the future by shaping secure, scalable, and innovative technology solutions that align business vision with cutting-edge IT. Our team of expert architects bridges the gap between security, agility, and customer-centric innovation, ensuring every system-from cloud to core banking-is built for performance, compliance, and seamless integration.

Tasks:

• You will design and validate solutions for development frameworks, platforms, and toolchains, enabling Dev Engineers to build and deploy scalable cloud-native applications.
• You will produce and maintain high-quality architecture documentation—including blueprints, solution architectures, and reference architectures—to ensure alignment with architectural standards, security policies, and business requirements.
• You will support development teams by providing expert guidance on scalable, resilient design patterns and cloud-native best practices.
• You will support the team to choose some technical solutions (using AWS, cloud native application, continuous delivery, infrastructure automation) to ensure solutions are secure, performant, and developer friendly. The solution needs to be secure, reliable, high availability and perfomant
• Knowledge in project management methodology to secure the deadlines and support delivery

Profile:

• Cloud-Native Development: AWS: Deep expertise in designing, implementing, and optimizing cloud-native applications (microservices, containers) and API’s with a focus on scalability, resilience, and observability.
• Toolchain & Automation: Strong background in DevOps toolchains (CI/CD pipelines, GitOps) and infrastructure automation to streamline development and deployment workflows.
• Developer Experience (DevEx): Ability to design and improve developer tools, platforms, and workflows to enhance productivity, reduce friction, and foster adoption of cloud-native practices.
• You are fluent in English + Dutch or French (oral and written).
