We are seeking an experienced Cloud Architect to join our Cloud Engineering team. This role will help define and advance Ralph Lauren’s cloud architecture strategy across Microsoft Azure and AWS, with a strong emphasis on security, governance, compliance, and enterprise-scale platform design.

The Cloud Architect will play a strategic role in shaping secure, scalable, and reusable cloud patterns that strengthen our cloud service portfolio. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise across Azure and AWS platform services, container technologies, networking, and cloud security, along with the ability to influence cross-functional engineering teams and drive architectural excellence.

  • Define secure, scalable, and reusable cloud architecture patterns across Azure and AWS.
  • Design reference architectures, platform blueprints, and implementation standards for enterprise cloud services.
  • Architect secure network topologies, including private connectivity, web application firewall controls, and ingress/egress patterns.
  • Embed governance, compliance guardrails, and policy enforcement mechanisms into platform design.
  • Drive standardization across cloud services and identify opportunities to enhance the product portfolio.
  • Provide architectural leadership and design guidance to engineering teams throughout solution delivery.
  • Review platform and infrastructure designs to ensure alignment with security, reliability, and scalability standards.
  • Support Infrastructure-as-Code and CI/CD best practices to improve automation, operational excellence, and platform maturity.
  • Contribute to roadmap discussions and help shape the future direction of the cloud engineering portfolio.

  • 5–10 years of hands-on experience in cloud architecture, engineering, or platform design across Azure and AWS.
  • Strong expertise in Azure networking, including Virtual Networks, NSGs, Private Link, DNS, and WAF technologies.
  • Deep knowledge of Kubernetes architecture and container platforms, including AKS and related ecosystem services.
  • Experience with Azure App Service, Azure Functions, Azure Kubernetes Service, Azure Container Apps, Azure Front Door, and Azure Application Gateway.
  • Strong understanding of PaaS security hardening, identity and access management, and enterprise cloud governance.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD implementation and Infrastructure-as-Code practices, including Terraform, Bicep, ARM, or AWS CloudFormation.
  • Experience designing and supporting secure, enterprise-grade architectures for highly available cloud services.

Preferred Qualifications

  • AWS certification and demonstrated experience architecting cloud-native solutions on AWS.
  • Hands-on knowledge of data platform and migration services, including S3, EMR, Glue, Lambda, SNS, SQS, Athena, Redshift, CloudWatch, Step Functions, Lake Formation, DMS, Kinesis, Kafka, RDS, Aurora, Neptune, Snowflake, and CDC processing patterns.
  • Experience in data lake and data warehouse modernization initiatives.
  • Kubernetes certification such as CKA is a plus.
