Purpose

We're looking for an experienced Technical Services Consultant to deliver, deploy, support and automate customer infrastructure and software solutions across on-premises, cloud and hosted environments. This role combines technical project delivery, infrastructure consultancy, software deployment and deployment automation, and customer support, working closely with internal teams and customers to ensure successful implementations and service excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy and support customer infrastructure solutions across Windows and Azure environments.
  • Develop and maintain software deployment and infrastructure automation using Azure DevOps, YAML and PowerShell.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex infrastructure issues involving networking, storage, virtualisation, security and connectivity.
  • Produce high-quality technical documentation, including design documents, training materials and disaster recovery plans.
  • Provide technical consultancy for project delivery, service escalations and pre-sales activities.
  • Support customer implementations, upgrades and go-live activities, including occasional out-of-hours work.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement through automation, AI tooling and operational best practices.
  • Work collaboratively across project, service and technical teams to deliver successful customer outcomes.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong experience with Azure DevOps (ADO) pipelines, software deployment, release management and deployment automation.
  • Advanced PowerShell scripting skills and experience working with YAML.
  • Experience managing and troubleshooting Windows-based infrastructure, including:
    • Azure
    • Active Directory
    • IIS
    • Virtualisation (VMware/Hyper-V)
    • Networking and storage technologies
  • Experience supporting complex customer environments and resolving technical escalations.
  • Strong technical documentation, communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience working within ITIL-based service environments.
  • Experience using AI tools, such as Microsoft Copilot, to improve productivity and automation.
Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Linux administration experience.
  • Experience with Tomcat and web service technologies.
  • Knowledge of Agile, DevOps and/or PRINCE2 methodologies.
  • Experience delivering consultancy services and technical training.
  • Exposure to healthcare, pathology or regulated environments.

This role requires a working knowledge of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies and the ability to leverage them to improve processes and outcomes. A core understanding of AI concepts is required and must be able to demonstrate the use of AI tools in a professional setting.

This requirement is essential for onboarding activities, including the identity verification, completion of necessary documentation, receiving your IT equipment, introductions to key team members, and orientation to Clinisys policies and procedures.
