- Architect Next-Gen HPC: Design, build, and implement cutting edge HPC clusters, taking accountability for the system design, loadout, and alignment with future technology trends.
- Drive AI & LLM Integration: Develop technical roadmaps and "easy button" templates that enable development teams to seamlessly leverage LLM solutions while maintaining infrastructure flexibility.
- Modernize Workflows: Reimagine the developer experience, designing modernized workflows and integration patterns between legacy systems and new HPC environments.
- Lead Technical Transformations: Conduct deep technical assessments of aging platforms, document dependencies, and execute strategic, incremental migrations that preserve security controls while boosting performance.
- Advocate for Developers: Act as the champion for the development community, removing technical friction and building an environment that engineers love to work in.
- Experience:
- 8 or more years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline.
- Or 12 or more years of experience (substituting 4 years of additional engineering experience in place of a Bachelor's degree).
- Systems & Cloud Architecture: 5 or more years of deep systems engineering and cloud architecture experience, with a proven track record of building, breaking, and rebuilding complex enterprise infrastructure.
- HPC & System Design: Demonstrated hands-on expertise in system design, configuration, and usability within production HPC environments.
- Modernization Leadership: Proven experience leading infrastructure modernization and executing incremental migrations (rather than simple "lift and shift" approaches).
- Stakeholder & Business Acumen: Strong background in corporate services and stakeholder management, with the ability to build ROI models and translate complex technical decisions for executives, security teams, and developers.
- Compliance & Security: Familiarity with agency-specific cloud compliance nuances, particularly the processes surrounding Authority to Operate (ATO) and secure operations.
- CNO Development Background: Direct experience in CNO development, giving you first hand empathy for what developers actually need from their infrastructure.
- Enclave Expertise: Deep understanding of restricted environments, including their unique constraints, security controls, and architectural impacts.
- FinOps & Cost Optimization: Experience right-sizing cloud resources, building FinOps practices, and making defensible recommendations on cloud vs. on-premise cost efficiencies.
