Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage secure, scalable, and highly available cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Build and automate cloud environments using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automation scripts, and cloud-native deployment workflows
- Monitor cloud environments for performance, availability, security, reliability, and cost efficiency using cloud-native monitoring tools
- Configure and manage cloud networking, identity and access management, data protection, and security controls in line with enterprise standards
- Collaborate with application, infrastructure, security, and DevOps teams to enable cloud adoption and modernize enterprise workloads
- Plan and support cloud migration initiatives, including workload assessment, migration execution, testing, and post-migration optimization
- Implement and maintain backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity capabilities for cloud-hosted platforms
- Troubleshoot cloud platform and production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term improvements
- Document cloud architectures, deployment procedures, operational processes, and support runbooks
- Evaluate emerging cloud technologies and recommend improvements to platform performance, resilience, security, and cost efficiency
- Performs other related tasks which may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications
- Cloud platforms: Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP, including compute, storage, networking, security, and cloud-native services.
- Infrastructure as Code: Strong experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, or equivalent tools for automated infrastructure provisioning and configuration.
- Cloud networking and security: Solid understanding of VPC/VNet architecture, load balancers, firewalls, identity and access management, encryption, and security controls.
- DevOps and automation: Experience with CI/CD pipelines, configuration management, automation scripting, and continuous deployment practices.
- Containers and orchestration: Experience or exposure to Docker/Podman, Kubernetes, Redhat and container-based deployment environments.
- Workload migration: Experience migrating enterprise workloads from legacy and virtualized environments, including AS400 and VMware.
- Infrastructure operations: Proficiency in Linux or Windows administration, networking, virtualization, monitoring, backup, disaster recovery, and performance optimization.
- Monitoring and cost management: Experience using cloud monitoring, logging, alerting, and cost-management tools to improve operational efficiency.
- Required certificates: Certificate AZ-104 Microsoft Azure Administrator, Google Workspace Administrator - Associate, Google Cloud Engineer - Associate, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure 2024 Certified Architect Associate Certification
