POSITION OVERVIEW
Lead the design, implementation, and governance of the Microsoft Azure cloud platform supporting the Next Generation Digital Banking MVP. Define the Azure platform architecture, networking, security, platform services, resiliency, and operational standards required to deliver a secure, scalable, highly available, and production-ready digital banking platform.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the architecture and implementation of the Microsoft Azure cloud platform supporting the Digital Banking MVP.
- Design Azure infrastructure, networking, and platform services to support secure, scalable, and resilient application hosting.
- Define Azure hub-and-spoke networking, ExpressRoute connectivity, private networking, DNS, and secure connectivity with enterprise systems.
- Architect and govern Azure platform services including Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure API Management, Azure Functions, Azure SQL Database, Azure Storage, Azure Service Bus, Event Grid, Azure Monitor, and Application Insights.
- Define platform security architecture in collaboration with Identity and Security teams to support PCI DSS, secure networking, secrets management, encryption, and operational security requirements.
- Design platform resiliency including monitoring, logging, alerting, backup, disaster recovery, operational readiness, and production support capabilities.
- Establish infrastructure standards, environment architecture, deployment patterns, and cloud governance supporting Development, QA, UAT, and Production environments.
- Collaborate with Solution Architecture, Development, DevSecOps, Integration, QA, and Infrastructure teams to ensure successful platform delivery.
- Support production readiness, operational documentation, knowledge transfer, and transition of platform ownership to operations.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 10+ years designing and implementing enterprise cloud platforms, including at least 5 years focused on Microsoft Azure.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience delivering enterprise cloud solutions using Agile methodologies within cross-functional and distributed delivery teams.
- Hands-on experience using enterprise-approved AI-assisted engineering tools across the SDLC with appropriate human review, secure data handling, traceability, and validation of AI-generated outputs.
