Enterprise Cloud Architect

*This is a hybrid role with an expectation of being onsite 2-3 days per week.

We are seeking an Enterprise Cloud Architect to join our growing Cloud & Infrastructure practice. This is a client-facing, consultative role for an experienced architect who enjoys helping organizations modernize infrastructure, adopt cloud technologies, and build secure, scalable, and cost-effective enterprise platforms.

In this role, you’ll work closely with client stakeholders, infrastructure teams, application architects, security leaders, and business executives to define cloud strategy, architect hybrid environments, and guide organizations through cloud modernization initiatives. You’ll help clients design enterprise cloud solutions that balance innovation, governance, operational excellence, and long-term business value.

What You’ll Do

• Define enterprise cloud architecture strategies that align technology investments with business objectives
• Partner with client stakeholders to assess current environments and develop cloud modernization roadmaps
• Design secure, scalable, and resilient cloud architectures across Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform, with Azure expertise preferred
• Lead architecture reviews to ensure solutions align with cloud best practices, security standards, governance policies, and operational requirements
• Design hybrid cloud architectures that integrate on-premises infrastructure with modern cloud platforms
• Develop cloud landing zones, governance models, identity strategies, networking architectures, and Infrastructure as Code standards
• Collaborate with infrastructure, security, application, and data teams to establish enterprise cloud patterns and reusable reference architectures
• Guide workload migration strategies, application modernization initiatives, and cloud adoption efforts
• Partner with clients to implement cloud governance, cost optimization (FinOps), operational monitoring, and resource management best practices
• Evaluate emerging cloud services, AI capabilities, automation platforms, and infrastructure technologies to identify opportunities for innovation
• Provide architectural leadership for containerized platforms, serverless technologies, and cloud-native application hosting
• Ensure cloud solutions meet security, compliance, disaster recovery, resiliency, and business continuity requirements
• Contribute to technical solution development, client pursuits, and thought leadership across the Cloud & Infrastructure practice

What You Bring

• 5+ years of experience designing enterprise cloud or infrastructure solutions
• Strong experience architecting cloud solutions within Microsoft Azure, with familiarity in AWS or Google Cloud Platform considered a plus
• Deep understanding of Azure core services, cloud governance, landing zones, identity management, networking, and security
• Experience designing hybrid cloud architectures that integrate on-premises environments with cloud platforms
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates, or similar technologies
• Strong understanding of cloud networking, load balancing, identity and access management, disaster recovery, and high availability
• Experience with container platforms such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Familiarity with cloud cost optimization, FinOps principles, and cloud resource governance
• Understanding of cloud security architecture, compliance frameworks, and enterprise governance practices
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automation, and modern DevOps practices
• Familiarity with AI-assisted engineering tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, or similar technologies
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and executive audiences
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in client-facing consulting environments

Nice to Have

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or other Azure certifications
• Experience with Azure AI services, Azure OpenAI, Microsoft Fabric, or other AI platform services
• Experience with Azure Arc, ExpressRoute, VPN connectivity, or enterprise hybrid networking
• Experience with FinOps programs or FinOps Foundation certification
• Experience supporting regulated industries such as healthcare, manufacturing, financial services, or insurance
• Experience with event-driven architectures and distributed systems
• Experience modernizing enterprise infrastructure and legacy applications
• Experience with monitoring and observability platforms such as Azure Monitor, Grafana, Datadog, or Splunk
