Mid-Level Technical Architect

Position Summary

We are looking for a hands-on Mid-Level Technical Architect to design, document, and guide the implementation of enterprise solutions involving contact-center platforms, conversational AI, voicebots, chatbots, system integrations, cloud services, and data migration. The role bridges business stakeholders, clients, developers, infrastructure, security, vendors, and project delivery teams. The ideal candidate combines strong architecture fundamentals with practical capability in APIs, integrations, data transformation, troubleshooting, and implementation governance.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate business and functional requirements into practical, secure, scalable, and supportable technical solutions.
• Design end-to-end solution, application, integration, data, security, and deployment architectures.
• Create architecture diagrams, data flows, sequence diagrams, API specifications, and technical design documents.
• Design integrations using REST APIs, webhooks, middleware, event-driven processes, batch files, and messaging platforms.
• Define authentication, payloads, field mappings, error handling, retry rules, logging, monitoring, and security requirements.
• Design contact-center and conversational AI solutions involving voicebots, chatbots, IVR, agent assist, intent routing, escalation, and human-agent transfer.
• Define how customer details, selected options, verification results, intents, and conversation summaries are passed between systems and agents.
• Support data migration, cleansing, normalization, transformation, reconciliation, and validation activities.
• Review JSON, XML, CSV, SQL, JSONata, JavaScript, Python, or similar integration and transformation logic.
• Participate in client discovery, technical workshops, presales activities, effort estimation, and solution presentations.
• Guide developers, integration engineers, AI engineers, testers, and implementation teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Troubleshoot issues involving APIs, integrations, data, voice channels, AI platforms, networks, and application configurations.
• Support testing, production readiness, deployment, cutover, rollback, hypercare, and operational handover.
• Maintain technical assumptions, risks, dependencies, design decisions, and architecture documentation.

Required Qualifications

• Four to seven years of experience in software implementation, systems integration, cloud engineering, solution design, or architecture.
• At least two years of experience performing technical design or solution architecture responsibilities.
• Strong understanding of solution, integration, application, and data architecture.
• Hands-on experience with REST APIs, JSON, webhooks, HTTP methods, status codes, authentication, and API testing tools.
• Working knowledge of OAuth 2.0, API keys, JWT, service accounts, certificates, and role-based access control.
• Ability to review SQL, JSONata, JavaScript, Python, or similar technical and transformation logic.
• Working knowledge of AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, or comparable cloud environments.
• Understanding of networking, DNS, firewalls, VPNs, certificates, ports, logging, monitoring, security, and deployment practices.
• Experience working directly with clients, vendors, developers, and project delivery teams.
• Strong technical writing, presentation, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Experience

Experience with one or more of the following is an advantage:

• Conversational AI: Cognigy, Kore.ai, Dialogflow, Microsoft Copilot Studio, Amazon Lex, OpenAI, or Azure OpenAI.
• Contact center and customer experience: Genesys Cloud CX, NICE CXone, Zendesk, Bird, Salesforce Service Cloud, or Amazon Connect.
• Integration and engineering: Postman, middleware platforms, workflow automation, event platforms, Git, SQL databases, JavaScript, Python, or JSONata.

Selection principle: Candidates are not expected to know every platform. Strong architecture fundamentals, practical integration experience, and the ability to learn new technologies are more important than expertise in one specific vendor.

Education and Certifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline. Equivalent practical experience may be considered.

Preferred certifications: AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Google Professional Cloud Architect, TOGAF, ITIL, platform-specific contact-center or AI certifications, or relevant security certifications. Practical experience should carry greater weight than certifications alone.
