Solutions Architect Cloud & Infrastructure

DWS is seeking expressions of interest (EOI) in a Solution Architect - Cloud and Infrastructure position working with our client. This organisation is seeking a skilled infrastructure architect to provide expert guidance and informed decision making across on-prem and cloud storage, networking, compute and virtualisation technologies. This role will play a critical part in shaping and guiding infrastructure strategy and design across a range of high-impact initiatives, with a strong focus on security, cloud adoption, and complex integration environments.

Salary: Up to $1200/day (ACN) / Up to $250K package (inc super)

Key responsibilities will include:

• Leading end-to-end solution architecture across cloud and on-prem infrastructure
• Developing solution options, architecture definitions, and supporting documentation
• Providing expert guidance on best practices, standards, and architectural patterns
• Conducting detailed options analysis considering security, cost, scalability, and operational impact
• Supporting procurement activities through technical input and evaluation
• Collaborating with stakeholders to define requirements and translate them into practical solutions
• Reviewing vendor designs, documentation, and technical specifications
• Contributing to architecture governance and review boards
• Supporting long-term strategic planning and roadmap development

To be successful, you will bring:

• Strong expertise in solution architecture across both Azure and on-prem environments
• Deep knowledge of infrastructure including compute, storage, networking, and virtualisation
• Strong understanding of secure networking (LAN, WAN, secure edge, internet)
• Experience with Azure services, including security, networking, and management
• Exposure to virtual desktop technologies such as Citrix, Windows 365, or Azure Virtual Desktop
• Experience with voice and communications platforms is highly desirable
• Strong understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Terraform)
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• Proven ability to deliver clear, structured architecture documentation and recommendations
