The Role
The Operational Finance team is responsible for delivering critical financial reporting to internal partners and external parking operators, enabling seamless invoicing and remittance. In this full-stack Software Engineer role, you will work extensively with production data and take full ownership of the entire development cycle—from analysis and development to testing, monitoring, and bug fixing. Operating as a collaborative unit, the team leverages a modern tech stack that includes PostgreSQL, Snowflake, dbt, Java, Kotlin, Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, REST, and JavaScript. This position offers a unique opportunity to drive end-to-end solutions, shape our technical architecture, and create a meaningful impact on our global financial operations.

- Navigate and understand complex business logic within backend services, enhancing existing solutions to meet evolving requirements.
- Collaborate closely with diverse teams across Arrive to build cohesive, scalable, and user-centric products.
- Drive the full development lifecycle from initial concept and design through to successful deployment.
- Ensure platform stability and reliability by providing product support, participating in on-call duties, and troubleshooting live incidents.
- Actively reduce technical debt and foster a culture of engineering excellence by implementing industry best practices.
Your background
- Strong experience in backend development using Java and Kotlin (Spring Framework) in a microservice environment, alongside exposure to front-end technologies like React and JavaScript.
- Proficiency in data modeling and data management, with hands-on experience utilizing PostgreSQL, Snowflake, and dbt.
- Practical experience with DevOps methodologies, infrastructure as code, and container orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS).
- Solid track record of writing comprehensive tests (unit, integration, end-to-end) and applying Behavior Driven Testing principles.
- Deep understanding of RESTful APIs and familiarity with database migration technologies such as Flyway or Liquibase.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English, with the flexibility to collaborate across CET/CEST and occasional US business hours, as well as a readiness for short business trips.
While this position is located in Łódź, we are open to candidates based anywhere in Poland who are available to travel to the office as needed to meet business requirements.
