About Our Client

Our client is an established travel technology organisation delivering high-volume booking and search platforms for customers worldwide. Due to continued investment, they are expanding their engineering team.

The Opportunity

Our client is looking to appoint an experienced Back End Developer to join their expanding technology function. You'll work within a collaborative Agile team, helping to design, develop and maintain scalable solutions while contributing to the technical roadmap and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and support high-quality software solutions.
• Work closely with Product Managers, QA Engineers and other technical teams.
• Write clean, maintainable and well-tested code.
• Take part in sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives and code reviews.
• Identify opportunities to improve application performance, scalability and security.
• Investigate production issues and implement long-term solutions.
• Contribute to technical documentation and engineering best practice.

Skills & Experience

• Commercial experience with Java, Spring Boot, PostgreSQL, Kafka, AWS.
• Strong understanding of modern software engineering principles.
• Experience working within Agile/Scrum environments.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• A proactive attitude with a passion for technology and continuous learning.
