Role Overview
As a Forward Deployed Engineer at Heizen, you will collaborate closely with clients, PMs, and designers. You’ll take full ownership of features from idea to deployment, understanding core problems, designing solutions, and implementing them end-to-end.
Core Responsibilities
- Architect systems and write scalable backend/frontend code
- Work with APIs, UI components, databases, and cloud infrastructure
- Collaborate with clients to understand needs and demo solutions
- Own your work from whiteboard to production
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving with technical tools
- Experience or interest in large-scale data usage
- Comfort working in dynamic, fast-paced environments
- Ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical team members
- 2–4 years of post-college software engineering experience
- Proficient in Python, Java, Go, JavaScript/TypeScript (or similar)
- Experience building and shipping production-grade software
- Familiar with SQL/NoSQL databases, REST APIs, cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/etc.)
- Experience in fast-paced environments with diverse teams
