Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications - For full consideration, applicants are encouraged to upload license and/or certification if required of the position
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Information Systems, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Experience designing, developing, and implementing complex, data-driven, multi-tier web applications using modern web technologies and programming frameworks, including but not limited to AI, Node.js, React, Prism, NiFi, PHP, JSP, HTML, JavaScript, SOAP, JSON, XML, CSS, and Web Accessibility standards.
- Experience leading complex application development projects and collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders to translate business functions and objectives into automated technical solutions through systems analysis, data processing, and user-centric application design.
- Experience with database design and development using relational and NoSQL databases (including MS SQL Server, MongoDB, and PostgreSQL), as well as modern software development tools and practices, including IDEs, source control, command-line tools, code quality tools, and deployment technologies such as Eclipse, Visual Studio Code, Git, Bash, SonarQube, Docker, Ansible, and Bamboo.
- Knowledge of modern application development technologies and practices, including JavaScript frameworks and tools (ES6/7, Node.js, React/Angular, Mongoose, Babel, Express, Gulp/Webpack), software development life cycles, source code management, and ticketing tools such as Git, Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, and ServiceNow.
- Knowledge of enterprise application architecture and security, including relational and NoSQL databases (MySQL, MongoDB, PostgreSQL), database modeling principles, performance tuning, web security (SSL, Kerberos, role-based access, encryption), authentication technologies (CAS, Shibboleth, LDAP), and enterprise content management concepts such as forms, document lifecycle management, records management, scanning, OCR, and workflow automation.
- Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills, including the ability to create technical documentation, process flows, diagrams, and user training materials; communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders; and continuously research and apply emerging technologies and industry best practices.
- 5 years of experience supporting enterprise applications, workflow automation and electronic forms platforms, and document management/enterprise content management (ECM) systems, such as Laserfiche, including application administration, maintenance, and technical support.
- Experience designing and implementing application integrations using APIs and middleware technologies; working with relational and non-relational databases and SQL; and performing application testing, troubleshooting, and UAT support for complex enterprise applications.
- Knowledge of enterprise content and records management technologies and practices, including document imaging and scanning operations, records retention, compliance standards, governance practices, and UC and campus policies and procedures.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders; experience creating technical documentation and delivering technical presentations and training.

Administrative Innovation and Technology (Admin IT) is part of the Finance, Operations and Administration organization which is responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of a variety of specialized business applications within the Admin IT portfolio. The portfolio includes a number of enterprise-level applications such as the Oracle Financial System, TUC, Travel & Entertainment Expense Reporting (AggieTravel), Work Order Management (AggieFacilities), Controlled Substances Management, Campus Events Management System (CEMS), and the Campus Map. This position is primarily focused on systems support for FOA Admin IT business partners.

Hybrid work environment with a combination of remote and on-site work based on operational needs. Primarily office and computer-based work environment with extensive keyboard and computer usage. Must be available for occasional travel/training activities. Limited vacation use during peak workload periods. Travel to meetings and alternate work sites on an as-needed basis. Maintain confidentiality of files. Employee is personally responsible for following safety procedures/guidelines. May be required to operate University vehicles. Work occasional overtime including evenings and weekends for system deployment and maintenance activities, and project priorities as needed.
