Our client is seeking a Software Developer with a strong foundation in full-stack development and genuine curiosity about how software can support investment research. You'll work under the team lead, who leads quantitative research, risk, and software development for our client, helping to maintain, extend, and improve the software and database systems he has built, including tools that support their quantitative research and risk management work, as well as build new tools from scratch. Existing finance knowledge and interest is a plus, but substantial finance knowledge is not required, you'll have the opportunity to grow into that side of the role over time as you take on more scope. They're looking for someone who is self-directed, detail-oriented, and highly efficient with a desire to work as part of a small team and to grow into a broader ownership role over time.

TypeScript, React, Next.js, tRPC, Prisma, Tailwind CSS, Python, SQL, Bash, AWS, OpenAI API, Anthropic API, Airflow

Work experience

2-7 years of experience in full-stack software development, with proficiency in the T3 stack and Python

Experience with AI/LLM APIs to build automations or agentic workflows

Undergraduate degree in CS, GPA above 3.0

Ability to read and write Python for scripting and automation

Proficient in T3 stack (TypeScript, Next.js, tRPC, Prisma) or very similar

Experience with relational databases and writing production-quality SQL

Familiarity with AWS and DevOps/CI-CD practices
