Application Administrator I
How Will You Make an Impact?
As an Application Administrator I, at our Grand Junction, CO facility, you will be responsible for the day-to-day administration, support, monitoring, and maintenance of business applications. This role ensures application performance, availability, security, and user support while working closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, vendors, and system administrators. You will assist in application deployments, troubleshooting issues, managing user access, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Location: On-site at our Grand Junction, CO facility
Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
What Will You Do?
- Perform routine system administration tasks including user account management, access control, and permissions configuration.
- Monitor application health, performance, and availability, identifying and troubleshooting basic issues.
- Assist in the deployment, configuration, and testing of new application releases and patches.
- Provide first-line technical support to end-users, addressing application-related inquiries and resolving common problems.
- Document application configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
- Collaborate with senior administrators and development teams to escalate and resolve complex technical issues.
- Partner with business users to understand requirements and improve application utilization.
- Perform scheduled system maintenance activities, including backups and data integrity checks.
- Adhere to IT security policies and best practices to ensure data protection and system integrity.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of application support processes and documentation.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
How Will You Get Here?
Education & Experience
- Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or a related field, required.
- 0-2 years of experience supporting enterprise applications.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Basic understanding of application administration principles and IT support processes.
- Basic understanding of operating systems (Windows, Linux) and network fundamentals.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical users.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Eagerness to learn new technologies and adapt to evolving business needs.
- Basic knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, visual basic, Visual Studio).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with ERP, MES, CRM, HRIS, or manufacturing applications.
- Familiarity with SQL databases and basic query writing.
- Knowledge of Active Directory, Azure AD/Entra ID, or identity management systems.
- Exposure to ITIL processes and service management tools.
- Experience with cloud-based applications such as Microsoft 365 and Azure-hosted solutions.
- Relevant IT certifications.
