Work Schedule
This is a full‑time, exempt (salaried) position assigned to a First Shift schedule, with standard business hours of Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. EDT. Business needs may occasionally require flexibility in work hours, including earlier, later, or additional hours, with reasonable notice provided when possible.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- 10 or more years of experience in software engineering.
- 3 or more years of AWS experience including EC2, RDS, Lambda, and S3, with hands-on work in cloud-native application development.
- 5 or more years of experience in Java and Spring Boot for building enterprise backend services.
- 2 or more years of experience with Angular for developing modern, responsive web applications.
- 2 or more years of PostgreSQL expertise including schema design, query optimization, indexing strategies, and performance tuning for high-volume transactional systems.
- 5 or more years of experience with large system design, database optimization, and high-volume data processing.
- Proven experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs that are secure, performant, and maintainable.
- HIPAA compliance knowledge: Understanding of healthcare data security, privacy regulations, and audit trail requirements.
- Strong grasp of distributed caching strategies using Redis/ElastiCache.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing strategies.
- Track record of delivering complex software projects in production environments serving multiple customers.
- Advanced degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
- Healthcare domain experience, particularly with laboratory systems, medical devices, or clinical workflows.
- Experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code and AWS resource management.
- Familiarity with Jenkins for CI/CD pipeline development and optimization.
- Datadog or similar observability platforms for monitoring, logging, and performance analysis.
- Experience with event-driven architectures and asynchronous processing patterns.
- Knowledge of HL7, FHIR, or other healthcare interoperability standards.
- Database migration strategies for zero-downtime deployments in 24/7 environments.
- Experience with serverless architectures and AWS Lambda for specific use cases.
- Contributions to open-source projects or technical thought leadership (blog posts, conference talks).
- Mastery of software engineering principles and best practices.
- Deep technical knowledge in one or more areas of the technology stack.
- Strong understanding of the full software development lifecycle.
- Experience with scalable architecture and performance optimization.
- Ability to communicate complex technical topics clearly across teams.
- Comfortable engaging in technical discussions with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to align technical solutions with business and product goals.
- Pragmatic approach to problem-solving in fast-paced environments.
- Deep understanding of how technology solves customer problems.
- Flexibility to support customer-facing activities (e.g., implementation, audits).
- Serve as a top-tier individual contributor within a specialized technical area, delivering high-impact solutions.
- Lead by example in software design, development, and implementation, setting the standard for code quality and performance.
- Collaborate effectively across engineering, product, and business teams to translate strategic goals into scalable software solutions.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineers across the organization.
- Participate in architecture discussions and offer high-level and detailed technical feedback.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and incorporate best practices into engineering workflows.
- Contribute to product and business direction through technical insight and pragmatic problem-solving.
