Senior Java Software Engineer

We’re looking for a talented and experienced Java Developer to join our rapidly growing team.

You’ll work on exciting, high‑impact programmes, using modern engineering and architectural principles to design and build innovative solutions for a wide range of clients. Working within mature, cross‑functional teams, you’ll help drive digital transformation and shape the future of services across the UK.

What you’ll do

• Design, develop and maintain high‑quality Java applications
• Contribute across the full software development lifecycle
• Build and secure RESTful APIs using Spring Boot / Spring MVC
• Collaborate with engineers, architects and stakeholders
• Support live services and resolve complex production issues
• Communicate technical concepts clearly to technical and non‑technical audiences

What we’re looking for

• Strong experience with Java (Kotlin/Scala a bonus)
• Solid understanding of OOP, SOLID principles and design patterns
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP)
• A passion for innovation and delivering high‑quality solutions

Nice to have

• Kafka, SQS, Serverless (Lambda)
• Monitoring & logging tools (ELK, Dynatrace, Splunk)
• JPA/Hibernate, Swagger/OpenAPI, automated testing
• Mentoring experience

🔐 Security: Willingness to obtain UK SC clearance if required

Interview process is condensed to two stages.

Salary: £46,000-£52,000+ £600 in cash + benefits package
