Software Engineer (Akka) at BairesDev

As a Software Engineer specializing in Akka, you will build concurrent and distributed systems using the actor model to ensure high scalability and resilience. You will design message-driven architectures that handle complex distributed state while maintaining a high degree of system elasticity.

What You'll Do

• Design and implement highly concurrent, distributed applications using Akka and Scala.
• Develop message-driven architectures based on the actor model to ensure system isolation and responsiveness.
• Build resilient and self-healing systems by implementing robust supervision and fault-tolerance strategies.
• Optimize distributed systems for high throughput and low latency across JVM-based environments.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to define actor hierarchies and reactive system standards.
• Ensure the stability and performance of elastic architectures through effective cluster management and monitoring.

What We Are Looking For

• 4+ years of experience in Software Engineering with a focus on concurrent and distributed systems.
• Proven expertise in building resilient and elastic architectures using Akka and the actor model.
• Advanced proficiency in Scala and functional programming principles.
• Hands-on experience with message-driven systems and reactive application development.
• Strong understanding of distributed computing challenges including clustering and sharding.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
