About The Company And Role

The company is a fast-growing organization within AI-powered medical devices. They work with customers developing advanced medical AI solutions and are currently in a phase of clear product-market fit, increasing data volumes, and strong growth.

This role is aimed at experienced Clojure developers who want to work closely with both technology and product in a highly autonomous, remote-first team with a strong commitment to societal impact and quality within healthcare.

Assignment description

The assignment involves working as a senior software engineer in a cross-functional team where technology, product, and domain knowledge go hand in hand. You are expected to contribute from day one and take responsibility for developing, improving, and evolving the company’s products and technical platform.

The work spans both backend and frontend concerns, architectural decisions, and close collaboration with product, design, and domain experts within regulatory processes and medical technology. The focus is on delivering high-quality solutions in a complex and regulated domain—without compromising on pace or quality.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience with Clojure
  • Experience working broadly across the stack (full-stack mindset)
  • Strong technical competence combined with an interest in product development
  • High degree of independence and ability to thrive with freedom and autonomy
  • Strong internal drive and engagement in what you build
  • Ability to think independently and reason from first principles
  • Genuine interest in understanding technology, domain, and user needs
  • Strong communication skills

Nice to have

  • Experience with Datomic (preferably Datomic on AWS)
  • Experience with HTMX and Alpine.js
  • Previous experience in health-tech, medtech, or regulated environments
  • Interest in or passion for medicine and healthcare
  • Experience working in remote-first and asynchronous teams

Tech stack

  • Clojure
  • AWS
  • Datomic
  • HTMX

What The Client Offers

  • Low/no scheduled meetings: Meetings are kept to a minimum—no daily stand-ups or traditional agile ceremonies
  • Very competitive salary and benefits
  • Flexible working: Remote-first with no fixed working hours or vacation tracking. There is also the option to work on site in Stockholm.
