Software Engineer

About This Role

As a Software Engineer at Soundtrace, you'll build and maintain the platform that tens of thousands of workers depend on for their hearing health. From audiometric testing workflows to real-time compliance dashboards, you'll work across the full stack to ship features that directly protect people. The specific tech stack can be shared during the interview process — assume common web technologies.

What you'll do

• Build and improve features across our web and mobile applications
• Work across the full stack of a modern web platform — frontend, APIs, databases, and cloud infrastructure
• Collaborate closely with product, design, and clinical teams
• Ship code to production regularly with a focus on reliability and performance
• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and sprint planning
• Help maintain and improve our testing, CI/CD, and monitoring systems

Who you are

• 2 to 5 years of professional software engineering experience
• Solid grounding in common web technologies — modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks, server-side development, and relational databases
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup where you wear multiple hats
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Good communicator who can work effectively with non-technical teammates

Nice to have

• Experience with mobile development
• Familiarity with healthcare or compliance software (HIPAA, SOC 2)
• Background in data visualization or real-time systems
• Experience with cloud infrastructure
