The Role

Join our newly formed Fleet Operations team as a Fullstack Technical Lead, where you will play a dual role of hands-on technical execution and engineering leadership. In this role, you will drive the architecture and technical direction for both front-end and back-end systems, making strategic decisions that ensure alignment with our global business goals. This is a highly technical position where you will balance fullstack coding and system design with mentoring, guiding, and scaling the capabilities of your engineering peers.

• Drive architectural discussions and decisions across the entire stack, ensuring robust, scalable front-end applications and distributed back-end microservices.
• Define, enforce, and elevate fullstack engineering best practices, code quality standards, and comprehensive testing strategies across the team.
• Foster a healthy code review culture that emphasizes constructive feedback, inclusivity, and continuous learning.
• Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and business teams to build the technical roadmap and support the team in executing it.
• Guide, mentor, and support fullstack engineers in their technical growth, cultivating a highly collaborative environment.
• Combine strategic technical vision with hands-on fullstack execution to deliver seamless, reliable user experiences and robust data architectures.
• Translate complex technical challenges into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders across the organization.

Your Background

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with a proven track record in fullstack development and leading technical initiatives.
• Currently operating in a technical leadership role with a proven track record of driving technical initiatives and guiding engineering teams.
• Strong proficiency in back-end engineering with Java, Spring, and Kotlin, alongside deep experience in system design and microservices.
• Extensive hands-on experience with modern front-end technologies and frameworks, specifically JavaScript, React, or Angular.
• Strong knowledge of databases (SQL, data modeling, query optimization) and modern DevOps practices (CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes).
• Demonstrated experience designing, implementing, and maintaining reliable, scalable end-to-end systems with a focus on long-term quality.
• Demonstrated experience leading or providing technical direction to an engineering team to drive meaningful product delivery, with a focus on steering team outcomes over individual execution
• This remote role is based in Colombia
