Clojure Engineer at BairesDev

As a Clojure Engineer, you will develop high-performance applications using Clojure and the JVM ecosystem. You will leverage functional programming principles and LISP-based syntax to build robust, data-oriented systems that emphasize immutability and elegant concurrency.

What You'll Do

• Design and implement scalable backend services and applications using Clojure and LISP.
• Utilize REPL-driven development to prototype, test, and refine code with immediate feedback.
• Architect data-oriented solutions with a strong focus on persistent, immutable data structures.
• Integrate Clojure applications seamlessly with existing Java libraries and JVM infrastructure.
• Optimize system performance and manage multi-threaded designs using Clojure’s unique concurrency models.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver clean, maintainable, and highly efficient functional code.

What We Are Looking For

• 4+ years of experience in Software Engineering with a focus on functional programming.
• Proven expertise in developing applications using Clojure and the JVM ecosystem.
• Deep understanding of LISP, immutability, and data-oriented programming.
• Hands-on experience with REPL-driven development and functional architecture.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
