Scala Developer (Securities Trade Processing)
A tier-one global investment bank is scaling its core securities trade processing ecosystem across Global Markets. The team is executing a critical overhaul of its high-throughput trade processing stack to ensure continuous stability, resilience, and operational speed across active trading operations.
You will own the end-to-end SDLC for key components within the core trading technology pipeline, working directly alongside front-office trading partners and business stakeholders.
Location: Dublin (Sandyford)
Key Responsibilities
- Drive Core Engine Performance: Engineer, deploy, and maintain high-resilience Scala components responsible for real-time trade processing.
- Accelerate SDLC Delivery: Modernise build and release pipelines to execute end-to-end delivery under an Agile framework.
- Translate Business Logic to Tech: Partner with front-office business stakeholders to convert complex trading requirements into ultra-clean, testable architecture.
Required Skills
- Core Technical Stack: 2–5 years of production Scala experience (or exceptional Java developers with proven functional programming fluency).
- Data Engineering: Deep SQL programming capability and production RDBMS experience.
- Software Engineering Discipline: Comprehensive SDLC expertise, automated CI/CD build tools, robust unit testing frameworks, and Agile execution.
Desirable Skills
- Exposure to Big Data ecosystems (specifically Apache Hadoop).
- Practical implementation of modern enterprise design patterns.
