Software Engineer II, Google Cloud, Infrastructure

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 1 year of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).
• 1 year of experience with data structures or algorithms.
• 1 year of experience building and developing large-scale infrastructure or distributed systems.

Preferred qualifications:

• BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with backend distributed systems, databases, and full-stack development.
• Experience in testing and launching distributed systems, storage, and related software products.
• Experience with programming languages such as C++ and Golang.
• Understanding of network topology models or infrastructure management.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

• Develop, test, and maintain scalable and reliable backend services and infrastructure for modeling planet-scale networks.
• Uphold high standards for code quality and operational excellence within the team.
• Manage individual project priorities and tasks effectively, ensuring timely delivery in a fast-paced environment.
• Build and optimize distributed storage and processing systems that are essential to operate and grow the network.
• Communicate and collaborate effectively within a geographically distributed team structure.
