Technical Lead m/w/d

The Role:

We're partnering with a growing German technology consultancy delivering large-scale digital transformation projects across the finance, insurance, mobility and public sectors.

As a Technical Lead, you'll remain hands-on while leading engineering teams delivering enterprise-grade software for some of Germany's most recognisable organisations. You'll be responsible for technical direction, architecture, mentoring developers, and ensuring projects are delivered to a high engineering standard.

You'll work directly with customers, influence technical strategy, and play a key role in shaping both delivery and engineering excellence across multiple projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead cross-functional software engineering teams on complex client projects
• Design scalable, cloud-native architectures using Java and Angular
• Act as the technical authority throughout the software development lifecycle
• Mentor and coach developers through code reviews, pair programming and technical guidance
• Collaborate closely with clients to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Drive engineering best practices including CI/CD, testing, clean architecture and DevOps principles
• Support pre-sales activities, technical workshops and solution design where required
• Stay hands-on with development while balancing leadership responsibilities

Skills & Experience:

• Extensive commercial experience developing enterprise applications with Java and Spring Boot
• Strong frontend experience with Angular
• Previous experience leading development teams or acting as Technical Lead
• Strong understanding of software architecture, microservices and distributed systems
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker and modern cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP)
• Knowledge of event-driven architectures, REST APIs and CI/CD pipelines
• Comfortable working directly with enterprise customers and senior stakeholders
• Experience working within Agile delivery environments
• C1 German and strong English communication skills are essential
