Are you a hands-on software engineer passionate about cloud-native APIs, middleware integrations, serverless architectures, and AI-assisted software development?

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain enterprise middleware services and API integrations that connect internal systems with external partners. This role will play a critical part in building scalable, secure, and resilient integration solutions while leveraging AI-powered development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, and similar technologies to accelerate delivery and enhance engineering quality.

The ideal candidate combines deep expertise in backend engineering, AWS serverless technologies, API design, event-driven architectures, and modern AI-assisted development practices.

Key Responsibilities

API Design & Middleware Development

• Design, develop, document, and maintain RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
• Build scalable middleware services supporting enterprise integrations.
• Develop API specifications using OpenAPI/Swagger standards.
• Ensure APIs are secure, performant, resilient, and maintainable.
• Support both internal system integrations and external partner connectivity.

Third-Party Integration Engineering

• Build and maintain integrations with external platforms including:
• DoorDash
• Uber Eats
• Delivery Aggregators
• Marketplace Platforms
• POS Systems
• Loyalty Platforms
• Enable reliable:
• Order Processing
• Menu Synchronization
• Real-Time Data Exchange
• Operational Data Flows
• Troubleshoot and optimize partner integrations.

AI-Assisted Software Development

• Utilize AI development tools as a core part of daily engineering work.
• Leverage:

Serverless & Cloud Engineering

• Develop cloud-native applications using AWS services including:
• AWS Lambda
• API Gateway

• Build highly scalable and fault-tolerant serverless solutions.
• Implement event-driven architectures and asynchronous processing patterns.
• Ensure reliability, observability, and operational excellence.

Architecture & Solution Design

• Collaborate with product and business stakeholders to gather requirements.
• Convert business needs into scalable technical solutions.
• Design maintainable integration patterns and application architectures.
• Evaluate technical trade-offs and recommend implementation approaches.
• Contribute to long-term platform modernization initiatives.

Event-Driven Integration Development

• Implement integration patterns including:
• Event-Driven Architecture

• Asynchronous Processing
• Design highly decoupled integration workflows.
• Ensure reliable message delivery and fault tolerance.

Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

• Support platform consistency through infrastructure version control.

DevOps & CI/CD

• Support continuous integration and deployment practices.

Education

Required
