We’re looking for an experienced Java Backend Developer to join a growing and collaborative engineering team.

You’ll have the opportunity to work on modern, cloud-based applications, designing secure APIs and scalable microservices that support business-critical solutions.

The Role & Responsibilities:


  • Design and develop secure, high-performance REST APIs and microservices.
  • Build and optimise SQL and NoSQL databases using Hibernate/JPA.
  • Write clean, reusable, and well-tested Java code.
  • Troubleshoot issues, improve application performance, and support scalability.
  • Work closely with Frontend, DevOps, and Product teams in an Agile/Scrum environment.
  • Contribute to cloud-native and serverless solutions.


Skills & Experience:


  • 4+ years of commercial experience as a Java Backend Developer.
  • Strong knowledge of Core Java, including OOP, multithreading, and concurrency.
  • Strong experience with Spring Framework, particularly Spring Boot.
  • Hands-on experience with REST APIs and microservices.
  • Experience with AWS Lambda or Azure Functions — essential.
  • Commercial experience using Python for backend development or automation — essential.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL, relational databases, Hibernate/JPA.
  • Experience with Git and modern development practices.
  • Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, or Azure.


Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field is required.
