Full-Stack Engineer – Application Support Full-Time | Remote / Hybrid

About the Role

We're looking for a Full-Stack Engineer to join a dedicated application support and delivery team embedded with a Fortune 500 client. This isn't a break-fix role — you'll be a true technical partner, owning the stability, performance, and continuous improvement of mission-critical applications while actively identifying opportunities to automate, modernize, and drive value beyond the ticket queue.

What You'll Do

  • Provide Tier 2/3 application support across a portfolio of enterprise web applications — diagnosing, triaging, and resolving incidents with speed and ownership
  • Develop and deploy fixes, enhancements, and small features across the full stack (front-end through back-end and database layer)
  • Build and maintain automation to reduce recurring issues — including job queue monitoring, auto-remediation scripts, and alerting improvements
  • Participate in root cause analysis and problem management — not just closing tickets, but eliminating them
  • Collaborate with client stakeholders, project delivery teams, and infrastructure to ensure cohesive, end-to-end resolution
  • Contribute to sprint-based delivery cycles for enhancements alongside steady-state support responsibilities
  • Maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and knowledge base articles
  • Proactively surface scope expansion opportunities — new automations, integrations, or modernization candidates — that add measurable client value

What You Bring

  • 4+ years of full-stack development experience in a production support or hybrid support/delivery environment
  • Proficiency in at least one modern front-end framework (React, Angular, or Vue)
  • Strong back-end experience in one or more of: Node.js, Python, Java, or .NET
  • Solid SQL skills — query optimization, stored procedures, and database troubleshooting across SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or Oracle
  • Experience with REST APIs, microservices, and integration troubleshooting
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git workflows, and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
  • Strong communication skills — able to translate technical issues clearly for both engineering and business audiences
  • A proactive, ownership mindset — you don't wait for direction to identify and solve problems

Nice to Have

  • Experience in managed services, outsourced application support, or client-facing delivery roles
  • Exposure to job scheduling platforms (Control-M, AutoSys, or similar)
  • Familiarity with monitoring/observability tools (Datadog, Splunk, AppDynamics, New Relic)
  • ITIL awareness and experience working within structured change management processes
  • Experience supporting applications in regulated or enterprise-scale environments

Why This Role

You'll have real ownership, not just a queue. You'll work alongside a team that measures success by outcomes — reduced incident volume, faster resolution, and innovations that earn client trust. If you're a builder who also knows how to keep the lights on, this is your kind of engagement.
