Software Engineer – Platform and Infrastructure (Backend / Cloud / DevOps)

We are looking for a motivated Software Engineer – Platform & Infrastructure to join our software engineering team. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain scalable backend solutions and cloud-based platforms that support business-critical applications. Working in an agile environment, you will collaborate with software engineers, architects, and DevOps specialists to deliver reliable, secure, and high-quality software solutions.

Your Tasks

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications and services.
• Implement and enhance RESTful APIs and integration solutions.
• Design and optimize database structures and persistence layers.
• Develop cloud-native solutions using modern AWS services.
• Build and maintain containerized applications and deployment environments.
• Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines to support automated software delivery.
• Participate in system integration and ensure seamless communication between software components.
• Perform code reviews, technical testing, and quality assurance activities.
• Analyze and resolve technical issues while contributing to system stability and performance.
• Support the operation and continuous improvement of software platforms.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Contribute to technical discussions, sprint planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Your Profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a comparable qualification.
• Several years of professional experience in backend software development.
• Experience developing enterprise software using Java and modern backend frameworks.
• Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, microservice architectures, and distributed systems.
• Experience working with relational databases and data modelling.
• Practical experience with AWS cloud services, Docker, and CI/CD tools.
• Familiarity with DevOps principles and modern software development practices.
• Experience working in agile development environments such as Scrum or Kanban.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a structured and proactive approach.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within international and multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Fluent English (written and spoken).
• Basic German language skills are required
