Lead Developer - Customer Tech, Salling Group

As Lead Developer in Customer Tech, you will help shape the technology behind Salling Group's customer-facing digital products and services.

You will contribute hands-on to development while helping teams make sound technical decisions and deliver high-quality software.

Success in this role requires a combination of strong software engineering skills, architectural understanding, and the ability to align multiple teams around a shared technical direction.

Your responsibilities:

• Define and evolve the technical architecture of our backend platforms and APIs.
• Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Provide technical leadership and support development teams through design reviews, code reviews, and mentoring.
• Ensure solutions are secure, reliable, and aligned with architectural standards.
• Drive technical alignment and quality across offshore deliveries.
• Promote modern engineering practices, including the use of AI-powered development tools.

You are an experienced software developer with a strong backend profile and a passion for building scalable solutions. We imagine that you:

• Bring deep expertise in Java and cloud-native software engineering.
• Have designed and delivered scalable solutions built on microservices, APIs, and event-driven architectures.
• Are experienced with modern cloud platforms such as Google Cloud, Azure, or AWS.
• Can balance hands-on development with technical leadership.
• Are a natural technical leader, who can create alignment across teams and drive engineering decisions.
• Have experience working with distributed and offshore development teams.
• Actively embrace AI-powered development practices and know where they create real value.
• Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders in English
