About the Role
As a Strategy and Planning Associate in the Nordics (Denmark and Finland) Strategy and Planning team at Uber, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and driving incubating innovative business ideas, and solving complex problems to drive long-term business success in the Danish and Finnish markets.
Collaborating with local, regional, and global partners from all functions, you will help shape the future of the Uber Eats business, driving strategy, execution, and data-driven decision-making. Partnering closely with the Delivery leadership team, you will be accountable for end-to-end program ownership and for shaping and delivering high-impact initiatives on our team roadmap.
What you'll do
- Strategic Advisory: Serve as a strategic advisor to the Nordics Delivery leadership team by identifying new growth opportunities and strategic initiatives, while taking full execution ownership of end-to-end problem statements and driving decisions at the highest levels of the organization.
- Planning & Governance: Own & drive governance and yearly and multi-year planning initiatives for the Nordics Business, ensuring alignment with regional / global approaches and objectives & ensuring strong representation of the business in critical forums.
- Data-Driven Problem-Solving: Apply structured problem-solving approaches & frameworks, enriched by robust data analysis to tackle new and ambiguous problem statements, while bringing in best practice from experts in other regions & functions
- Market Research: Conduct extensive market and industry research to understand macroeconomics, industry trends, and the competitive landscape, driving actionable insights from data and facts.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with local, regional, and global teams (Operations, Product, Legal, Policy, Finance, Tax, etc.) to design, launch, and execute cross-functional programs aimed at achieving critical business outcomes.
- Zero to One Initiatives: Take top-of-mind strategic initiatives from zero to one, building them from the ground up and guiding them through to successful implementation.
- Stakeholder Influence and Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with senior leaders and stakeholders, effectively influencing and managing their expectations to ensure alignment and support for strategic initiatives.
What you'll have
- Minimum of 3-4+ years of experience in driving strategic change and problem solving in a fast-growing environment
- Fluent English is essential. Danish and/or Finnish is a big plus. You will also be based in one of our hubs in either Copenhagen or Helsinki.
- A self-starter with demonstrated ability to bring clarity in ambiguous environments with the ability to translate complex issues into clear, concise, and practical solutions.
- A high degree of analytical acumen with advanced proficiency in Google Sheets, SQL and knowledge about AI tooling
- Outstanding communication and storytelling abilities to articulate complex ideas and concepts in a compelling and engaging manner.
- High degree of business and financial acumen and comfort using analytics to solve problems.
- Genuine interest and fascination with the online food delivery industry and desire to understand each aspect of the marketplace and Uber's business strategy.
- Strong attention to detail and a structured approach to project management, driving the successful completion of complex programs.
- Exceptional collaboration and relationship-building skills, working effectively with diverse stakeholders, including cross-functional business leaders.
