Looking to elevate your DevOps expertise on high-scale FinTech infrastructure? We are hiring a DevOps Engineer (Mid) for a leading payment service provider in Tokyo. You will join the Operation Group, ensuring 24/365 stability for high-volume QR code and credit card payment processing across multi-cloud web applications. In this role, you will tune massive traffic, troubleshoot complex system behaviors, and implement cutting-edge AIOps automation.

What You Will Be Doing

• Confirm specifications and extract critical service data for live, high-volume payment platforms.
• Conduct root cause investigations using Elasticsearch, Kibana, NewRelic, and database observation metrics.
• Diagnose high-traffic performance bottlenecks, including database connection exhaustion, latency increases, and thread limits.
• Assess operational impact across multi-cloud architectures and load balancing configurations.
• Drive operational automation by systematizing routine investigations and optimizing monitoring tools.

What We Need To See

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in system operation, maintenance, and incident management.
• Proven experience driving operational efficiency improvements and automating routine tasks.
• Deep technical comprehension of multi-cloud architectures, network setups, and resource behaviors under heavy load.
• Japanese: Business-level fluency preferred
• English: Daily conversation level

Ways To Stand Out From The Crowd

• Prior experience maintaining mission-critical or B2B payment/FinTech systems.
• Hands-on familiarity with containerization platforms like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Solid understanding of RDBMS, Application Servers, and backend application development.
• Experience using Atlassian suite (JIRA, Confluence) and project management principles.
