Senior Software Engineer | Core Platform Teams | $335k-$400k Total Comp

A Series E, fast-growing ecommerce technology company, approaching $1 billion in revenue and powering over 10 billion transactions annually for partners like Uber, PayPal, HelloFresh and Macy's, is expanding its core platform engineering teams.

Compensation

Total target compensation ranges from $335k to $400k, comprised of a $210k to $260k base salary plus an employee equity grant. Comprehensive benefits included.

The Role

You will design, build, and operate the scalable services powering an ultra high-throughput ecommerce platform. This includes ownership of architectural decisions, performance optimization, and system reliability at scale, working in Go, Scala, Java, C#, or TypeScript.

What You'll Do

• Design and maintain services handling massive transaction volume
• Drive performance improvements that impact latency, reliability, and cost
• Own production systems end to end, including incident response and on-call rotation
• Contribute to system design reviews and mentor junior engineers
• Apply AI tooling and LLMs to improve engineering velocity

What We're Looking For

• 4+ years of experience building and operating distributed systems
• Proficiency in one or more of: Go, Scala, Java, C#, or TypeScript
• Experience with cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
• Deep expertise in at least one of the following: high-throughput distributed systems, data engineering (Kafka, Spark, Cassandra, Iceberg, Trino), MLOps, site reliability engineering, or web/mobile SDKs at scale

Work Arrangement

This role follows a hybrid schedule based out of Austin, TX.
