Senior Software Engineer

Most IT ops teams still get paged at 3am by alerts that lead nowhere.

This role is about building the platform that decides which alarms actually matter, not another dashboard piping noise into a bigger screen.

It's a VC backed platform in the AIOps space, already in production with enterprise IT ops teams automating incident lifecycles and cutting through operational noise.

You'll own API design, the investigator portal, database schema and data management for a platform ingesting operational events at real scale.

You'll be root cause hunting across the full stack when something breaks, because in this product when something breaks, someone's phone is ringing.

Stack is Java, distributed systems and event driven RabbitMQ. Bonus if you know React, Python, containers and orchestration or Kafka.

You'll need an MSc in Computer Science or 3+ years of Java web development, and you'll be comfortable with agile, Git and Jira.

Suitable for backend engineers who find distributed systems genuinely interesting and can debug something they didn't write.

Not suitable for engineers who need every requirement handed to them in a Jira ticket.

Up to $150k, on site/hybrid in Raleigh/Durham.
