Senior Platform & Infrastructure Engineer (DevOps)

As we prepare for enterprise deployments with BFSI institutions, we are looking for a Platform and Infrastructure Engineer who will own the cloud infrastructure, deployment architecture, and operational reliability of the platform. This role will be responsible for designing and managing enterprise-grade infrastructure, ensuring the platform meets the security, scalability, and compliance expectations required by financial institutions. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in cloud infrastructure, DevOps practices, security architecture, and scalable distributed systems.

The Core Responsibilities For The Job Include The Following

Cloud Infrastructure and Architecture:

• Design and manage the cloud infrastructure supporting ShieldX.
• Architect and maintain VPC networks, subnets, load balancers, and networking policies.
• Ensure infrastructure is designed for high availability, scalability, and security.
• Implement secure and efficient infrastructure patterns aligned with enterprise deployment standards.

DevOps And Deployment

• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to enable reliable and automated deployments.
• Manage containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform.
• Ensure consistent and stable deployments across development, staging, and production environments.

Security And Information Security

• Implement and maintain infrastructure security practices, including Identity and Access Management (IAM), Secrets management, Encryption at rest and in transit, Secure API gateways, and Web Application Firewalls (WAF).
• Ensure infrastructure readiness for enterprise security reviews and audits.
• Work closely with engineering teams to maintain a security-first architecture.

Monitoring And Reliability

• Establish monitoring and observability systems using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, and Datadog.
• Implement alerting systems and operational dashboards.
• Monitor platform health and ensure high reliability of production systems.

Disaster Recovery And Backup

• Design and maintain backup and disaster recovery mechanisms.
• Define and maintain Recovery Time Objective (RTO) and Recovery Point Objective (RPO) strategies.
• Ensure platform resilience and business continuity.

Enterprise Deployment Support

• Support enterprise deployments by preparing: System architecture diagrams, Infrastructure documentation, and Security and deployment documentation.
• Assist in responding to infrastructure and security questionnaires from enterprise clients.
• Collaborate with client IT and InfoSec teams during onboarding and deployment.

Requirements

• Strong experience working with AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and microservices-based architecture.
• Experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines.
• Proven experience implementing secure cloud infrastructure for production environments.

Key Skills And Competencies

• Strong understanding of cloud networking and infrastructure architecture.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or similar tools).
• Knowledge of security best practices for SaaS platforms.
• Ability to design systems for scalability, performance, and reliability.
• Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment with high ownership.
