DevTools Engineer at BairesDev

As a DevTools Engineer, you will streamline the software development lifecycle by building and optimizing high-performance build systems and monorepo infrastructure. You will empower engineering teams by reducing feedback loops and ensuring consistent, reproducible development environments.

What You'll Do

• Architect and maintain large-scale build systems using Bazel to ensure fast and reliable compilation.
• Optimize CI/CD pipelines with Buildkite to enhance developer productivity and deployment frequency.
• Design and implement hermetic build processes to guarantee consistency across local and remote environments.
• Manage monorepo tooling and strategies to handle complex codebases and dependency structures at scale.
• Identify and resolve bottlenecks in the build and test cycles to minimize developer wait times.
• Collaborate with software teams to automate internal workflows and promote engineering excellence.

What We Are Looking For

• 4+ years of experience in DevTools Engineering, DevOps, or Software Engineering.
• Proven expertise in managing large-scale build systems and monorepo tooling.
• Proficiency with Bazel for optimizing build performance and achieving hermetic builds.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD platforms such as Buildkite or similar tools.
• Strong background in automating developer workflows and improving build efficiency.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
