DevOps Engineer

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer with strong automation experience to join a Continuous Integration and Automation team in Geneva.
This position is suited to either an experienced DevOps Engineer with a strong interest in software development, or a Software Engineer who has developed significant expertise in DevOps and infrastructure automation.
The role will focus on designing, implementing and maintaining deployment pipelines, infrastructure automation and configuration management practices within a highly regulated and safety-critical environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and maintaining CI/CD and deployment pipelines
- Automating deployment and infrastructure management processes
- Contributing to the evolution of configuration management and orchestration practices
- Analysing technical defects and implementing sustainable, maintainable solutions
- Improving the reliability, performance and maintainability of automation platforms
- Supporting both cloud and on-premise infrastructure environments
- Developing solutions that remain understandable and usable by both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Collaborating closely with software, infrastructure and operational teams
- Contributing to architecture and technical design decisions
- Supporting occasional out-of-hours deployments when required

We are looking for someone with:
- At least 8 years of experience in DevOps, Software Engineering or automation-related roles
- At least 2 years of experience within aerospace, finance or another highly regulated environment
- Strong administrator-level knowledge of Git, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, RHEL and Windows
- Extensive experience with Ansible, particularly around automation platform performance and scalability
- Strong scripting capabilities
- Experience with security topics across complex cloud and on-premise network environments
- Solid software architecture and system design skills
- Experience working with Agile and/or Waterfall methodologies
- A degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent extensive professional experience
Fluent English at B2 level or above is required. Knowledge of additional Swiss languages would be an advantage.
